I teach electric and acoustic guitar lessons in person close to Springfield and Swarthmore. I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years and have experience teaching all ages of students. I also perform with my classic rock band The Garage Bandits most weekends and can help students get comfortable playing in front of other people. My teaching space is located at 34 Yale Avenue, Morton, PA. Contact me for more information or to set up a free trial lesson! I will be starting a new group guitar class on April 20th! This class will run for 6 sessions over the course of 7 weeks on Mondays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The focus of this class will be on teaching song melodies to beginners, such as Ode To Joy by Beethoven and Happy Birthday. Each week I will introduce slightly more complicated melodies that will help develop students' ability to play single note melodies on the guitar.

GLEN MILLS, PA — A teenager is missing after escaping a facility for adjudicated youth in Delaware County, Pennsylvania State Police said.According to authorities, a juvenile at the Clock Tower School in Glen Mills escaped the facility at 12:17 a.m. Sunday.Officials noticed the teenager was missing at about 12:35 a.m.School staff canvassed the area before calling authorities, then state police also canvassed the area.The teenager was not found and police have reported them as a missing person.

Join The Savoy Company in celebrating our 125th anniversary year with Gilbert &amp; Sullivan’s uplifting operetta,&nbsp;The Gondoliers!&nbsp;in the Open Air Theatre at Longwood Gardens. Set in Venice and the fictional kingdom of Barataria, the plot centers on two gondoliers, Marco and Giuseppe, who discover that one of them is the rightful king but cannot determine which. They agree to rule jointly until the true monarch can be identified, allowing Gilbert to satirize monarchy, aristocracy, and British political institutions. The show is especially noted for its unusually warm tone and emphasis on equality, reflecting contemporary late-Victorian debates about class and governance.
Through its witty dialogue, lively ensemble numbers, and playful mockery of aristocracy and political systems, the operetta celebrates equality while poking fun at rigid class distinctions and the pretensions of monarchy.
Premiered in 1889, The Gondoliers is the twelfth collaboration between librettist W.S. Gilbert and composer Arthur Sullivan. The show ran for 554 performances, making it one of the duo’s most successful later works.
Introducing Stage Director Grant Mech and Choreographer Rebecca Malcolm-Naib, whose inventive vision brings The Gondoliers to life in a masterful comedy that sparkles under the outstanding baton of Music Director Peter Hilliard and a superb professional orchestra. Produced by William Kader, the production is enhanced by a striking, professionally designed set and delightfully charming costumes.

Four of the hottest area blues bands will be shaking the rafters of northern Chester County for a day long food, brew and music event.&nbsp;Gates open at Noon, beer tent music starts at 1, main stage 2-6pmBring your chairs, bring your popup, and bring your coolers – or bring nothing. The BEST Food and the COLDEST beer will be available for purchase. Dancing shoes and sunscreen highly recommended.&nbsp;The lineup for this year's event includes four of the area’s top blues bands:
Clarence Spady
Prepare for a masterclass in modern blues with Clarence Spady, once hailed by the Chicago Tribune as "the future of the blues." As a triple-threat guitarist, soulful vocalist, and evocative songwriter, Spady seamlessly fuses traditional blues with jazz, funk, and R&amp;B. In short, Clarence Spady is one of those artists who can actually move people.
Roger Girke
A three-time International Blues Challenge finalist, Girke delivers flawless guitar work and soulful vocals that turn every venue into a party.
Dave Mell Blues Band
The Dave Mell Blues band features male and female vocals, all styles of Blues, R &amp; B, and originals. Unique arrangements and original interpretation of classic rock, Blues, and R &amp; B standards are their specialty.
Voodoo Deville
Voodoo Deville has been a local Chester County favorite since 1998. While Chicago blues was their starting point, their repertoire has expanded to include jump, boogie, swing, early rock 'n roll, and rockabilly.Tickets are available online at <a href="https://chestercountyblues.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">https://chestercountyblues.com/</a>
and will be limited for the safety and enjoyment of all. They are $20 in advance online; any remaining tickets will be available for $30 cash at the gate. Children 12 and under are free. No pets please.
