Crash Kills Teen Girl On Easter Sunday: PA State Police

Pennsylvania State Police said a 17-year-old girl from Brookhaven died and a 19-year-old man from Media was seriously hurt in the crash.

CHADDS FORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A teenager is dead, and a young man suffered life-threatening injuries in an Easter Sunday crash in Delaware County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

According to police, the crash happened at about 3:37 a.m. at the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Wilmington Westchester Pike in Chadds Ford Township.

Police were called to the area for a report of a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole.

Troopers found a black BMW sedan on its roof adjacent to the northbound lanes of Baltimore Pike.

Two people were in the vehicle, a 17-year-old girl from Brookhaven and a 19-year-old man from Media, police said.

The girl, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The man, who was driving the vehicle, was taken to Paoli Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
