WSFS Bank Invests in Greater Media
The oldest and largest locally-managed bank and trust company opens two new branches in the area.
WSFS, headquartered in Delaware, is now banking on Greater Media to bring in new customers. The company opened two new branches, in downtown Media and in Edgmont Township. They are the fifth and sixth locations in Pennsylvania. WSFS’ other branches are in West Chester, Glen Mills, Longwood and Oxford.
, which opened on June 24, is located at 100 East State Street, right next to the Media Theatre. It’s a full-service banking office with a walk-up ATM, plus there’s parking nearby, along State Street, and in the lot next to the theatre. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Rick Wright, WSFS’ executive vice president of retail banking and marketing, says the Media location is a perfect spot for customers to easily cash in on their services during a night out on the town, or during the work day.

The branch in Edgmont is also in a central place for customers’ convenience. It’s located at 5000 West Chester Pike, and offers extended banking hours, drive-up tellers and an ATM. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The drive-up opens at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The Media and Edgmont branches are unique in their own ways, says Wright.

"Edgmont is built in the style of WSFS’ new prototype branch, which focuses on cross-functional personal bankers able to assist all customers. In addition to its drive-up teller and ATM, it will also include a coffee bar and a community conference room," says Wright.
While each branch has its intricacies, he adds, the main mission is the same across the board.
"WSFS is deeply committed to its expansion in southeastern Pennsylvania and thrilled to offer two new branches in excellent locations for Delaware County residents, businesses, and visitors to do their banking," Wright says.
When you’re headed out of the Greater Media area, there are seven other locations in Pennsylvania too, and 38 in Delaware.
