• Major $20.5 Million Resurfacing Project To Begin On I-79 In Mercer County (explorevenango.com) — Expect major lane restrictions and slower speeds on I-79 in Mercer County starting Monday, April 20, as PennDOT begins a $20.5 million resurfacing project. Work will span more than 13 miles, including key stretches near the I-80 interchange, and is expected to last through late 2026, so regular commuters should plan for delays and changing traffic patterns.
   

• Mercer County House Inferno Claims Mom, 2 Kids in Overnight Tragedy (hoodline.com) — A devastating early-morning house fire in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County, claimed the lives of a mother and two of her children after firefighters discovered them inside their Walnut Street home.
