• Mifflintown man escaped house fire (lewistownsentinel.com) — A Mifflintown homeowner escaped with minor injuries after a pre-dawn fire destroyed three campers, a garage, and damaged a mobile home along William Penn Highway early Sunday. Mifflintown Hose Co. and numerous neighboring departments battled intense heat, poor visibility, and a flashover before the blaze was brought under control, with the Red Cross now assisting the displaced resident while state police fire marshals investigate.
