The borough has prohibited anyone from living there, and the homeowner is expected to face charges from both Minersville Borough and humane authorities while the investigation continues. 
• 74 cats rescued from hoarding situation in Minersville (wnep.com) — A Twin Street row home in Minersville was condemned after 74 cats were rescued from what responders describe as one of the worst hoarding situations they've seen. Local veterinary and rescue teams removed the animals, many underfed or flea-infested, and are now seeking help with medical costs, supplies, and shelter placements.
