• Coaches, teams across WPIAL honor late Cornell coach Ed Dawson (pennlive.com) — High school football programs across Western Pennsylvania, including nearby Beaver and other WPIAL schools, came together to honor late Cornell coach Ed Dawson after his sudden death on the sideline. Teams wore blue gear, helmet stickers, and wristbands, donated 50/50 raffles to his family, and plan a coordinated stadium‑lights tribute to celebrate his impact on local players and coaches.
