The Sensory Village Foundation just launched as a nonprofit organization to help remove barriers for Lehigh Valley families seeking high-quality sensory play, developmentally supportive environments, and caregiver resources.
To raise awareness and celebrate this nonprofit launch, The Sensory Village Foundation is hosting an Open House at The Sensory Village facility, 49 West Penn Avenue, Alburtis, PA, on Tuesday, July 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Sensory Village is an inclusive play space that offers area children the opportunity to access enriching sensory play experiences, combined with supportive programming and vital community resources, catering to the tens of thousands of children in Lehigh and Northampton counties with sensory processing challenges (e.g. affected by autism, ADHD, developmental delays, or other neurodivergent issues).
The foundation’s mission is to ensure that individuals of all ages and abilities can access enriching sensory experiences, supportive programming, and vital community resources, regardless of their financial circumstances. Community, families, healthcare providers, donors, media are invited to tour the facility.
