New Hope Borough Council gives Visit New Hope approval for new date for its September fireworks show.
NEW HOPE, PA — Visit New Hope is moving its final Summer Series and Fireworks Show of the season from Friday, Sept. 6 to Friday, Sept. 13.
The nonprofit group, which promotes and markets the greater New Hope area, received approval for the date change from the New Hope Borough Council at Tuesday night’s council meeting.
Leaders of Visit New Hope also briefed council on a major addition to the fireworks show, which required no action from council since it will be launched from the Lambertville side of the Delaware.

Immediately before and after the fireworks, Visit New Hope leaders said they are planning to launch a 100 drone light show from the Lambertville side of the river. Details are still being formulated, but initial approvals have been granted by the City of Lambertville, according to Visit New Hope leaders.
The drones will be launched into the sky from a concrete parking lot near the sewage treatment plant and will make "pretty pictures" in the sky. The light show will be synchronized with music and will be coordinated with the fireworks, said chamber officials.
