2 Injured After Car Flips On N. Main Street: Police

N. Main Street was closed for an hour Monday night, after a car crashed and flipped, trapping a woman inside, New Hope police say.

NEW HOPE, PA -- North Main Street was closed for an hour Monday night, after a car crashed and flipped, trapping a woman inside, New Hope police say. Two people involved in the crash were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

New Hope Borough Police say the crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the 100 block of N. Main Street. When officers arrived, they found a female passenger trapped inside the vehicle.

"The officers worked quickly and were able to free the passenger from the vehicle. The driver was able to free himself prior to officers arriving on scene," according to information from police.

Police believe the driver of a jeep lost control and hit a parked car, causing his vehicle to flip onto its side. No one was in the parked vehicle at the time of the crash.

New Hope officers were assisted by Solebury Police Department, New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company, and Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance & Rescue Squad.

N. Main Street was closed between Bridge Street and 202 for about an hour.
