2023 Budget Adoption, Playhouse Proposal On New Hope Borough Agenda

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — The New Hope Borough Council will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 20 beginning at 7 p.m. at the New Hope Borough Hall.
The council is expected to discuss and take action on a wide range of topics from a parking agreement with the Old Stone to a zoning hearing board application by the Bucks County Playhouse to repurpose an existing building to use as a small theater at 52 South Main Street.
Also up for consideration will be an amendment to the borough ordinances governing swimming pools and hot tubs.

Council is also scheduled to vote on a final budget for 2023, on its tax rate for 2023 and on a two year contract with its police union.
The meeting agenda also includes certificates of appropriateness for sign installations at 17 West Ferry Street and at 129 South Main Street.

Other motions include a resolution supporting a PA Small Water and Sewer grant for the installation of stormwater infrastructure on West Mechanic Street; a proposal for IT services for the borough administration and police department; and the appointment of John Williams and Jay Freeo to the HARB
