$45K Online Fundraiser Launched For Lambertville-New Hope Fireworks

NEW HOPE, PA — Do you like seeing the fireworks along the Delaware River? Then local organizers are asking you to pitch in for the cost.

The Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, which sponsors fireworks program, has launched an online fundraising campaign to raise money for four displays this summer.

A goal of $45,000 has been set. As of Tuesday morning, nearly $23,000 has been raised by nine donors. Each 10-minute show costs approximately $11,000 including fireworks, insurance and public safety, organizers said.

The fireworks displays "celebrate our communities and support our downtowns," the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau said in the fundraising campaign. The fireworks displays are "hugely popular," organizers said.
