Art & Antiques Weekend In New Hope, Lambertville Is This Weekend

NEW HOPE, PA — The annual Art & Antiques Weekend will be held Oct. 13 and 14 in Lambertville and New Hope. During the weekend, many stores will feature special sales, offers, and special merchandise.

A listing of the participating venues will be available The Delaware River Towns Chamber office, 77 Bridge Street, Lambertville. Venues with antiques will be marked with a red flag. Venues with art will be marked with a yellow flag. Many venues will also feature refreshments, including cider, wine, cookies, and cheese, according to event information provided by Delaware River Towns.

The weekend will also feature live art shows, artists painting street and canal scenes plein aire, and live music. It will also be the conclusion of the Outside the White Cube exhibit, where paintings from 24 local artists can be viewed and bid on at the New Hope Arts Center.

These special events are planned throughout the weekend:

• Sat & Sun 1 pm — Tips on Purchasing Antiques and Appraising Value, Gerry Quatro, A Touch of the Past Antiques at 32 N. Union Street, Lambertville
• Sat & Sun 11 am to 6 pm — “Less is More” Annual Small Works Exhibit and Sale Show Opening with Painting Demonstrations by gallery artist, Kenn Erroll Backhaus, Highlands Art Gallery at 41 N. Union Street, Lambertville
• Sat & Sun 4 pm — Special Exhibit, Vampire Killing Sets and Talk with Collector Ed Crimi, The Peoples Store, 28 N. Union Street, Lambertville
• Sat & Sun, 10-4 pm — Outside the White Cube Exhibit, New Hope Arts Center
