Bear Sightings Reported In Bucks County

UPPER MAKEFIELD — Multiple bear sightings have been reported recently in Upper Makefield, police there say. According to police, sightings have been reported as recently as Sunday night.

Authorities say the bear has been spotted on Eagle Road in the Jehrico Mountain area. On Sunday night, residents reported seeing it behind homes on Brownsburg Road East, then heading towards the golf course.

A total of four sightings have been reported, according to police.

Bear sightings are not uncommon this time of year in Bucks County, however. In years past, sightings have been reported recently as far south in the county as Bensalem.

If you see a bear, you should never approach it, experts say. Instead, report the sighting to authorities by calling 911.
