The bear was seen wandering through a backyard Friday morning in the area of Aquetong Road and Taylor Lane, police said.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — A black bear was sighted Friday morning wandering through a backyard near Taylor Lane and Aquetong Road, police in Solebury Township reported.

"The bear did not linger and continued on its way into an open field without incident," police said.

Residents are encouraged to contact the Solebury Township Police Department if they spot a bear in their area.

"Residents are reminded that black bears are generally wary of humans and rarely attack," police said.
