Body Of Missing Backpacker From Hopewell Found In Adirondacks
The body of 28-year-old Alexander Stevens was found Monday, the Associated Press has reported. He went missing during a backpacking trip.

HOPEWELL, NJ — The body of a missing man from Hopewell was found Monday morning in the Adirondack High Peaks, the Associated Press has reported.
Alexander Stevens, 28, of Hopewell was last seen at the base of Wallface Mountain in the Newcomb, N.Y. area on Sept. 2.
Stevens had embarked on a backpacking trip. His vehicle was located at the Upper Works Trailhead in Newcomb. An extensive search for Stevens that began Sept. 10 ended Monday after his body was located near Wallface Pond.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, the AP report said.
The New York State Police, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Forest Rangers, volunteers and the Hopewell Police Department in New Jersey, conducted the search for Stevens.
