
La Fiocco, the Bucks County Baroque ensemble, will conclude its 2025-2026 season with Heroes and Lovers, a musical celebration of history and myth. Special guest artist soprano Laura Heimes returns for a program that pays tribute to legendary heroes and lovers including Cleopatra, Hercules, Don Quixote, Arion, and Cloris-Flora.Selections include overtures, arias, and cantatas by George Frideric Handel, André Campra, Georg Phillip Telemann, Marc Antoine Charpentier, and Nicola Porpora.
La Fiocco’s musicians, who perform on period instruments, are Eve Friedman, baroque flute, Claire Smith Bermingham and Jeremy Rhizor, baroque violin, Graham Cohen, baroque viola, Donna Fournier, baroque cello, Jonathan Cable, violone, Theodore Cheek, theorbo, and Lewis R. Baratz, artistic director and harpsichord.
Performances will take place at Christ Congregation, 50 Walnut Lane, Princeton, New Jersey on Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m, and at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 7 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 general admission in advance online at lafiocco.org, or $30 at the door, cash or check only. Student tickets are $10, and children 12 and under are free.
