Immediately after Ida’s flood, Canal Music Studio supporters and the community rallied together and raised funds to secure the school’s future.
“I was overwhelmed by the immediate community response to dive in and remedy our dire situation," said founder and executive director Adrienne Walsh. "I honestly thought our school’s doors were shuttered permanently. To my amazement, a GoFundMe page was created, a few benefit concerts organized by students, WDVR FM, and friends, raising over $60,000 to help us recover and secure our new home – our future never looked brighter.”
