A huge crowd gathered Sunday in Lambertville to enjoy the Dine and Dish with Dawn community-wide dinner. It was a success, officials said.
LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — Lambertville was abuzz Sunday, as a huge crowd gathered to enjoy the Dine and Dish with Dawn community-wide dinner. A huge dinner table was set up on North Union Street, and a three-course meal was served to about 2,000 residents.
In addition to giving the town some exposure (images from the scene will be part of an upcoming advertising campaign), it was an opportunity for the community to come together for a meal, and not worry about the cleanup.
Actress Tia Mowry was the special surprise celebrity guest.

The city, calling the community dinner a success, thanked residents for their cooperation during the event, which closed streets and limited parking.
"The City received national attention that will be a boost to local tourism. We realize residents, especially those who live in the downtown, were inconvenienced so we could bring off this unique event and truly appreciate everyone's cooperation. We apologize for the initial incorrect posting of the street closures and any confusion that may have caused," the city of Lambertville said via Facebook.

Family Dinner with Dawn was a huge success! We built 2,000 feet of branded tables, over 6 city blocks, to feed 2,500 people a 3-course meal for 1 sit down dinner as a family in Lambertville, NJ.
