Domestic Disturbances, Thefts Reported In New Hope Borough

Borough Police reported the following incidents between March 4 and 10.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — The New Hope Borough Police Department reported the following incidents between March 4 and 10:

March 4

  • Theft reported on the 200 block of South Main Street. A customer left a bar without paying.

  • A theft was reported on West Mechanic Street involving the removal of a planting pot.
  • Fraud investigation initiated after a victim reported their bank account was compromised.
  • Officers responded alongside the fire department to a tree and downed wires causing a brush fire on River Road. The road was closed temporarily while firefighters extinguished the brush fire and PECO replaced the damaged wires.

March 7

  • Officers responded to two separate domestic disturbances, one on West Bridge Street and another on South Main Street.

  • Police investigated a civil disturbance on Lakeview Drive.

March 9

  • Officers responded to Runnemede Court for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
  • While conducting routine foot patrols and business checks, officers discovered an open door at a business on South Main Street. The building was checked and secured.
  • Officers located another suspicious vehicle on West Mechanic Street.
  • Police responded to a traffic accident on North Main Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

March 10

  • Officers responded to a civil dispute in Union Square.
