SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — Fire heavily damaged a home early Wednesday morning on Sugan Road between Laurel Road and Route 263 in Solebury Township.

The New Hope Eagle Fire Company responded to the scene just before 6 a.m. for a house fire. They quickly called for additional help from their mutual aid companies, primarily for tankers to assist with water supply due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area.

Firefighters attacked the blaze with hose lines both from the ground and from above. The fire was declared under control around 8 a.m. with the last fire units clearing the scene around 11 a.m. following extensive mop-up operations.
