Fireworks To Again Light The Skies Above New Hope And Lambertville

New Hope Borough Council gives its unanimous approval to the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce to hold the public displays.

NEW HOPE, PA —Fireworks will again light up the skies above New Hope and Lambertville this spring and summer.

In a unanimous vote, the New Hope Borough Council on Tuesday gave the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce and Celebrate New Hope permission to hold public fireworks displays over the river in conjunction with PrideFest and the chamber's Summer Series.

The series of displays will launch on Friday, May 17 in conjunction with PrideFest, which takes place from May 11 to 19 in the two river towns.

The week, presented by New Hope Celebrates and featuring a Welcoming Tea, the unfurling of the Pride Progress Flag and a Love is Love Pride Gala, culminates with a Pride Parade and a Pride Fair on Saturday, May 18.

Fireworks are also scheduled to light up the sky on Fridays, June 7, July 5, August 2 and September 6 as part of the chamber's Summer Series, which includes vendor fairs, art displays, wine offerings, an outdoor beer garden and live music.

"I think it's great that you are doing these events," said Councilwoman Connie Gering. "It's going to bring a lot of people into town and it's a positive event to publicize our town and help the merchants out."

Parking for the shows will be available at New Hope-Solebury High School, Union Square and the
Lambertville Station. Some locations may require a parking fee to ensure quality and security.
