Get Buzzed For A Cause: Bee's Knees Week Is Back At Stella Of New Hope
Each year, restaurants and bars across the country come together in an effort to help the struggling bee population.

NEW HOPE, PA — Stella of New Hope is partnering with Barr Hill, a distillery-farm-apiary hybrid founded by a beekeeper and distiller based in Greensboro, Vermont, to celebrate Bee’s Knees Week, the largest sustainability initiative in the spirits industry, from Friday, September 23 to Sunday, October 2.
Bee’s Knees Week is an annual celebration of the bee's knees cocktail, a Prohibition-era cocktail made with gin, lemon, and honey syrup, and the importance of bees in the food and beverage system. Each year, restaurants and bars across the country come together in an effort to help these important insects.
According to Barr Hill, "Bees are responsible for one in every three bites of food we take, but their populations continue to struggle."

In 2019-20 more than 40 percent of honeybee colonies in the U.S. were lost, according to Bee Informed. So, this Bee’s Knees Week, Bar Hill vows to plant 10 square-acres of new bee habitat for every Bee's Knees cocktail shared on social media.
Stella of New Hope Bar Manager, Jamie Shaw, will be offering a Bee’s Knees cocktail for $16 from September 23 to October 2.
