Hunterdon Co. Teen Killed In PA Ski Lift Accident
A Hunterdon County teen was killed in a ski lift accident at a Pennsylvania ski resort on New Year's Day, authorities said.
PALMERTON, PA — A Hunterton County teen was killed in a ski lift accident at a Pennsylvania resort on New Year's Day, authorities said.
Connor Golembiewski, 17, of Flemington was killed after falling from a ski lift on Jan. 1 at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, Carbon County Coroner Robert W. Miller Jr. confirmed. His death was ruled accidental, and the cause was multiple blunt force trauma.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. The teen was transported to Palmerton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to information from Blue Mountain.

It is not clear how Golembiewski fell from the lift, and officials have not said if the lap bar was in place. The incident remains under investigation, said Blue Mountain spokeswoman Tricia Matsko
"Our hearts go out to the young man’s family," Matsko said.

Golembiewski was a hockey player with the New Jersey Renegades. He attended Hunterdon Central high school, according to online tributes.
