Inspection To Reduce Free Bridge To Single Alternating Travel Lane

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge will be reduced to a single alternating-travel lane during off-peak daytime hours on Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 6.

The single-lane pattern will be controlled by flaggers stationed at each end of the work area. The restriction is scheduled to be in effect between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on both dates.

The single-lane travel restriction is needed to allow for in-depth inspections of the bridge’s steel superstructure. The inspections are being conducted as part of a planning and design process for a rehabilitation of the bridge expected to take place during the first half of 2024.
