It's the Great Pumpkin at Music Mountain Theatre Opens Saturday

Come trick or treat and join in on the fun!

Grab your Halloween costume and trick-or-treat bag and come on over to MMT for It’s the Great Pumpkin. Based on a Halloween cartoon favorite, your kids will trick-or-treat through the theatre where they will meet many of their favorite fairy tale and cartoon characters. The journey starts with a visit from the Great Pumpkin himself and a fun show with songs, funny skits, and a costume contest. Come early in costume to trick-or-treat and join in on all the fun!

The show features several MMT Junior Company Members. Aidan Rice, age 16, is a second-year company member who attends South Hunterdon Regional High School. Aidan will be playing ‘The Hippie’ in It’s the Great Pumpkin. His favorite MMT role is the Big Bad Wolf in Little Red Riding Hood. Another second-year company Member, MacAfee Madding, appears in the teen ensemble. He is a senior at New Hope Solebury High School and his favorite MMT role is Thing 2 in Seussical the Musical.

New junior company members Veronica Hodgson, Isabella Mayo, Jaydin Houck, and Zachary McDevitt are delighted to appear in this production. Hodgson appears as Sleeping Beauty. She attends Holicong Middle School and her favorite theatrical credit is Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Mayo is one of the show’s Emcees. She attends Bordentown Regional High School and her favorite role at MMT is Mary Had A Little Lamb in Babes in Toyland. Houck sings Love Potion #9 in the show. He attends Readington Middle School and his favorite credit is Jack in Into the Woods. McDevitt is in the teen ensemble. He is a freshman at Lawrence High School and his favorite previous theatre role is Rooster in Annie.

The performances on October 20 will be ASL (American Sign Language) interpreted. Children and families are encouraged to come early not only to trick-or-treat, but to learn some ASL for a participation part of the performance.

Music Mountain Theatre is a 250-seat theatre located adjacent to the historic site of the Lambertville Music Circus. The theatre provides a full year of both mainstage and children’s theatre. Currently playing on the mainstage is Curtains (October 12-21).

It’s the Great Pumpkin at MMT opens October 13 and runs through October 27 with performances on Saturdays at 11am and 1pm. Tickets are $8 and are available online at www.musicmountaintheatre.org or by phone at 609-397-3337.
