Lambertville Cautions Residents About Fake Email Spoofing City Leaders
If you receive an email that seems suspicious, double-check the sender's address. Second, do not click on any link or reply to the message.
LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — The City of Lambertville is cautioning residents about a fake email making the rounds that is spoofing the emails of the mayor and other city staff members.
"The city is aware of some email spoofing going on with bad actors ... We are looking into this and can assure you that the emails are not being sent from the city," city officials said.
If you receive an email that seems suspicious, double-check the sender's address. Second, do not click on any link or reply to the message.
"We encourage you to flag these email addresses as suspicious, and forward them to deputyclerk@lambertvillenj.org to be investigated further," said the city.
