Lambertville City Council To Appoint New Member At Monday Meeting
The Lambertville City Council will convene in a special session Monday to appoint someone to fill the seat left vacant due to a resignation.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — The Lambertville City Council will convene in a special session Monday to appoint a member to fill the seat left vacant due to former president Steve Stegman's recent resignation.
Stegman resigned in late October, citing a need to devote his energy to family obligations.
"Pressing family obligations will unfortunately not leave enough time for me to continue to perform my council duties at the level that the people of Lambertville deserve," said Stegman, according to information provided by the city. Stegman had served on the council for nearly 18 years, leading efforts to preserve the historical integrity of the central business district.

The Lambertville Democratic Committee is tasked with choosing three potential replacements. City Council will select one of the three to complete the rest of Stegman's term, which ends on Dec. 31, 2019.
During Monday's meeting, council will also appoint someone to fill Stegman's role as president through the end of the year.
