Lambertville-New Hope Bridge Closure Moved To Wednesday, Thursday
A scheduled closure of the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge has been postponed due to rain and will now take place tonight through Thursday.
LAMBERTVILLE - A scheduled closure of the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge has been postponed due to rain and will now take place tonight, Wednesday, April 26 starting at 7 p.m. The bridge is estimated to be closed through 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 27.
The closure, originally scheduled to start Tuesday, is needed so crews can replace two utility poles on Bridge Street in Lambertville, NJDOT said. Bridge Street will close at Union Street in Lambertville and in New Hope, Bridge Street will close at Main Street.
Detours will be in place on both sides of the bridge. Access to the parking lots for Lambertville Station and Lilly’s on the Canal will be closed.

The following detours will be in place, according to NJDOT:
- New Jersey Traffic Heading to Pennsylvania: Traffic on Route 179/Bridge Street heading westbound towards New Hope will be directed to turn right onto Main Street to Route 202 westbound and across the Toll Bridge into Pennsylvania.
- Pennsylvania Traffic Heading to New Jersey: Traffic on Bridge Street heading toward Lambertville will directed to turn left onto Main Street to Route 202 eastbound and across the Toll Bridge into New Jersey.
