Lambertville Pizzeria Cooking Up 'Philly Special' For Eagles Win

Liberty Hall's "Philly Special" features mozzarella, ribeye steak, mushrooms, garlic, parmesan cheese, cheese whiz and caramelized onions.

Liberty Hall Pizza in Lambertville is celebrating the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory with a limited-edition “Philly Special” pizza.

The pie is named after the Eagles trick play during the big game, which had MVP quarterback Nick Foles catching a touchdown pass from tight end Trey Burton. Available starting Friday 9 at 5 p.m., it features fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced ribeye steak, oven roasted mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper, parmesan cheese, cheese whiz and caramelized onions.

The pizza comes with hot pepper relish on the side, and guests are welcome to order it ‘witout’ the caramelized onions.

Through Monday, the pizza will be offered for $9 — in a tribute to Foles’ number. After that, it will go up to $18 on Feb.13.

“We had third generation Pat’s King of Steaks’ owner Frankie Olivieri join us as a Guest Pizzaiolo in 2016, and we fell in love with the cheesesteak pizza that he conceived and have been looking for an excuse to replicate it since the event,” said Liberty Hall Pizza’s owner Chris Bryan. “As soon as the Eagles won the Super Bowl I knew that we had to celebrate by putting Frankie’s creation on the menu and naming it the ‘Philly Special.’
