Lambertville Station To Dedicate Bench In Memory Of Russell Lambert

Russ had been a cherished resident of Lambertville since 1986 and is a direct descendant of two of Lambertville's founding families.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — Lambertville Station will dedicate a bench in memory of Russell Ernest Lambert on Monday, June 10 beginning at 9:30 a.m. by the canalside outdoor dining area of the Lambertville Station Restaurant on Bridge Street.

Russell Ernest Lambert, 72, of Lambertville, N.J., passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, N.J., surrounded by his family. Born in Doylestown on January 25, 1952, and raised in West Amwell Township (Mount Airy), N.J., Russ had been a cherished resident of Lambertville since 1986.

A direct descendant of two of Lambertville’s founding families, the Lamberts and Holcombes, Russ was deeply proud of his heritage and enjoyed giving back to his namesake city. He was a member of the Lambertville Parks & Recreation Commission and the Lambertville Municipal Utility Authority.

Russ is survived by his wife of 45 years, Benedetta Lambert, and son Russell Jr. He is also survived by his sisters Martha Shea and Barbara Mowery, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. His legacy of kindness and community spirit will live on through this bench dedication.
