Lambertville Tax Assessor Accused Of Possessing Child Porn

A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to an investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ — A Lambertville, New Jersey man has been accused of possessing child pornography by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office

Richard Carmosino, 70, of Lambertville City, was arrested on April 6 following an investigation by the prosecutor's office.

A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to an investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office’s Forensic Services Unit that resulted in the arrest, according to Prosecutor Renee M. Robeson.

Carmosino has been charged with one count of third-degree possession of child pornography.

Carmosino works as tax assessor in the City of Lambertville. The incident was not connected to Carmosino’s employment, prosecutors said.

Carmosino was sent to the Warren County Jail pending his first court appearance.
