Man On Nationwide Law Enforcement Journey Makes Stop In Hunterdon Co.

FLEMINGTON, NJ – Hunterdon County Sheriff Frederick W. Brown and members of the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office were on hand Tuesday morning to welcome Alex Mann to the county as part of his ongoing journey to visit law enforcement agencies throughout the United States.

Alex, who is on the autism spectrum, has made it his lifelong mission to visit every law enforcement agency in the country where he is educating law enforcement on interacting safely and effectively with autistic individuals.

The Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office marked stop No. 542 on his journey.

Starting his campaign as a teenager, he has logged thousands of miles and visited 542 police departments across five states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and California) as of October 2026.

During his visit, the 26-year-old had a few special requests for Sheriff Brown: a Class A uniform shirt to keep, an opportunity to learn more about the Sheriff’s Office operations and patrol vehicles, and a group photo with members of the department.

Sheriff Brown was happy to present Alex with his own Class A shirt before Alex spent the morning visiting officers, checking out patrol vehicles, and learning more about the work of the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office.

“It was truly a pleasure to welcome Alex to Hunterdon County and spend some time getting to know him,” said Sheriff Brown. “His enthusiasm for law enforcement and his commitment to this incredible goal are inspiring. We are honored to be stop No. 542 and proud to now be part of his journey.”

The Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office wishes Alex continued success and many more memorable visits as he
works toward achieving his lifelong goal.
