Missing Alzheimer’s Patient Prompts Helicopter Search In Solebury

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA -- An Alzheimer’s patient who went missing while shopping with a family member at the Giant supermarket at the Logan Square Shopping Center prompted a police search throughout the area Friday night, authorities said.

The 67-year-old woman was eventually found safe, Solebury Police said. She was reported missing around 6 p.m., and Solebury Township Police searched the area around the Logan Square Shopping Center.

Local officers were assisted by New Hope Eagle Fire Co. and Lambertville New Hope Ambulance. A Philadelphia Police helicopter was called in.

A resident of North Pointe ended up finding the elderly woman walking in front of their home and she was subsequently reunited with her family.
