Join Neighbors, Solebury Township Police At National Night Out

The community is invited to spend an evening with the Solebury Township Police Department during National Night Out.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Solebury Township Police Department invites the community to National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2 beginning at 6 p.m. at Laurel Park, 3092 Sugan Road, Solebury 18963.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

While enjoying hot dogs, pizza and Rita's Water Ice, guests are invited to kick back and listen to DJ music by Gray Brother's Entertainment.

Around 6:30 p.m., K-9 Blitz and some of his friends from nearby townships will showcase their skills during a K-9 demonstration. On hand to cheer them on will be one of Blitz's new puppies.

The Temple MedFlight helicopter is scheduled to land around 7:30 p.m. barring any life-saving emergencies.

The night will also feature the New Hope Eagle Fire Company, Midway Fire Company and the Point Pleasant Fire Company, all of whom service Solebury Township residents.

The Central Bucks EMS plans to stop in as well to show off its paramedic SUV.

For the kids, there will be face painting and A-Z Magic and Balloons, which will be creating balloon animals of all kinds. Kids will also enjoy a huge obstacle course and a jump house.

And of course, the Solebury Township Police Department will be there in uniform or in their National Night Out T-shirts. The public is invited to check out their patrol vehicles and bicycles.

"Feel free to strike up a conversation. We love meeting our community and talking about what we do," said a police department spokesperson.

Also joining the evening will be U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, State Senator Steve Santarsiero and a yet to be announced special guest.
