New Details Released On Wednesday Night's Fatal Crash In Solebury

Police identify the 73-year-old woman killed in the one car accident on Greenhill Road.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — Solebury Township Police have identified the victim of Wednesday evening's fatal crash as 73-year-old Solebury Township resident Cory H. Schroeder.

Schroeder was behind the wheel of a Volkswagon SUV when police said it overturned shortly after 6:15 p.m. on Greenhill Road between Aquetong and Mechanicsville roads.

Schroeder had experienced a medical emergency just prior to the crash, Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck told police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

When officers arrived, they found the driver and a passenger inside the overturned vehicle.

Midway Fire Company arrived on location and extricated a 79-year-old man from Solebury Township. He was transported by Central Bucks EMS to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

When rescuers reached the operator of the vehicle it was determined that she had not survived.

Preliminary investigation of the crash shows that the Volkswagen was traveling north on Greenhill Road. The vehicle then crossed into the south bound lane of travel. The vehicle then struck a tree and dirt embankment causing the vehicle to overturn.
