New Hope Councilwoman Resigns; Applicants Sought To Fill Open Seat

Letters of interest and resumes are now being accepted from borough residents interested in a temporary appointment.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — The New Hope Borough Council this week unanimously accepted the resignation of Councilwoman Tina Rettig, who is moving to Texas.

Rettig, the Council President ProTem, served on the finance committee, parking committee and the police pension board.

The council is currently accepting letters of interest and/or resumes from borough residents interested in a temporary appointment to the Council. The successful candidate will serve until December 31, 2023.

Letters of Interest and/or resumes will be accepted no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 30 via email to Peter Gray, Borough Manager, at pgray@newhopeborough.org.

Council will consider the appointment of a candidate at its July 18 Borough Council meeting.
