The Borough’s engineers will survey every inlet, storm manhole, flared-end section, endwall, and other stormwater system components that the Borough owns or maintains. The survey data will be plotted on official maps provided by the County to create a new, comprehensive Outfall and Collection System Map. The plan will also include any downstream public or private storm sewer that carries runoff from Borough roads or properties.
Part of Pennsylvania’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permitting process, the stormwater mapping is a critical tool to help local governments take steps to reduce pollution and protect water quality. As a river town, New Hope Borough takes great care in its stewardship of our local environment.
