The New Hope Borough Council invites all residents interested in the proposed garage to attend the first public forum on the project scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in the Borough’s Community Room. THA Consulting, of Blue Bell, the design firm selected to prepare the architectural and engineering plans for a proposed parking garage just north of the Union Square complex in New Hope will present preliminary plans for review.

The purpose of this first public forum is to gather and assess as much community input as possible before proceeding with preparation of further plans. Once a preliminary design has been agreed to, THA Consulting will prepare a final design plan and construction specifications, which will serve as the basis for an RFP to select a construction firm.
THA’s design team will present a preliminary layout design for the garage, with maps, plans and drawings of the configuration and design under early consideration. New Hope residents will have the opportunity to review all the materials and provide input for consideration into the design.

While there will be an opening presentation giving an overview of the preliminary design, the purpose of the meeting is to hear from New Hope residents what they think the design team should consider and incorporate to make the project a success.
The Borough Council, its Parking Facilities Committee and THA Consulting are committed to engaging New Hope residents at each step going forward in the design phase, to ensure that the community’s views are heard and considered in the final plans.
