New Hope Celebrates Announces 2024 OUT In New Hope
Month-long celebration to mark LGBTQ+ History Month and the 20th anniversary of the High Heel Drag Race.

NEW HOPE, PA — New Hope Celebrates (NHC) has announced 2024’s OUT in New Hope, a dynamic series of events celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month in New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey. This annual, month-long celebration will feature a diverse array of activities designed to celebrate LGBTQ+ culture, history, and community.
High Heel Drag Race Anniversary Art Auction
- October 7 to November 2 in New Hope and Lambertville. Celebrate two decades of the High Heel Drag Race with NHC’s OUT in New Hope Art Auction. Bid on exceptional artwork that celebrates LGBTQ+ culture and history, with proceeds supporting local LGBTQ+ initiatives. Over 30 unique pieces of art by local artists will be on display throughout New Hope and Lambertville throughout the month. NHC will auction off these one-of-a-kind pieces online. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to the local artists and the remaining fifty percent will support NHC and NHC History projects to be scheduled in 2025.

- October 10 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Odd Bird Brewing, 10 Risler St., Stockton, NJ. Celebrate National Coming Out Day with Odd Bird Night OUT. This event is a chance to come together, support one another, and celebrate the courage of those who are sharing their true selves. Guests can also enjoy a bite to eat from RSC Atelier, located in the same complex as Odd Bird.

OUT in New Hope Scavenger Hunt

- October 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Triumph Brewing, 400 Union Square Dr., New Hope. Participate in the OUT in New Hope Scavenger Hunt and explore the community while celebrating LGBTQ+history. This interactive event combines fun and education in a unique scavenger hunt experience across the two Delaware River towns of New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey. Teams can consist of 1-4 people; the cost is $5 per person. Signups will be made available via Eventbrite via this link: OUT in New Hope Scavenger Hunt. After your two-town hunt, join NHC for a drink afterwards at Triumph Brewing Company where prizes will be awarded to the top teams!
HalloQween Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres Party Bus
- October 13, 4 p.m. pick-up at the Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S Main St. New Hope. Local HalloQween and NHC’s current Miss Congeniality 2024, Chaotique is hosting a party bus trip to Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres in Newtown. Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres is known for its award winning “House in the Hollow,” one of the most detailed and imaginative haunted houses in the world. They have three of the best haunted attractions in the Philadelphia area: Sleepy Hollow Hayride, House in the Hollow, and Field of Fright. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to NHC, who will be sponsoring the bonfire at the event. Get tickets here: HalloQween Party Bus.
Drag Queen Story Hour Hosted by Lambertville Library
- October 19 at 11 a.m. at the Lambertville Free Public Library, 6 Lilly St. Lambertville, NJ. Join NHC for Drag Queen Story Hour at Lambertville Free Public Library hosted by Summer Clearance and Miss Thunder Showers. Enjoy a magical afternoon featuring captivating stories and performances by beloved drag queens, fostering a love of reading and inclusivity.
LGBTQ+ Night OUT for Rocky Horror
- October 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S Main St., New Hope. Experience the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" like never before with a special LGBTQ+ themed night at Bucks County Playhouse. Join NHC for a night of music, costumes, and community spirit in a celebration of this beloved film. Show time is 7:30. After the show, DJ Heather will keep the party going at The Deck for the LGBTQ+ Night OUT Tea Dance. NHC’s group tickets are sold out, but you can still join NHC for the show and Tea by purchasing tickets directly from the Bucks County Playhouse website.
20th Annual High Heel Drag Race
- October 27 at 3 p.m. at W. Mechanic St., New Hope. The highly anticipated 20th Annual High Heel Drag Race (HHDR), is a highlight of New Hope’s fall season. With the theme “20 YEARS RUNNING: Thrills, Chills & Fierce High Heels,” this event continues to keep the beloved New Hope tradition live. Hosted by New Hope’s own Miss Pumpkin and sponsored again this year by 94.5 PST, witness spectacular performances, incredible costumes, and the fierce competition that makes this event an annual highlight, which is free for attendees. There will be a 50/50 raffle and limited edition HHDR t-shirts available for sale. High Heel Drag Race After Party
- October 27 beginning at 4 p.m. at Havana New Hope, 105 S. Main St., New Hope. Immediately after the HHDR race, join NHC for the After Party at Havana New Hope, hosted by Miss New Celebrates 2024, Diva Divine. Featured performers include Miss New Hope Celebrates, Diva Divine Monroe, Mr. New Hope Celebrates, Sir Harold Angels, as well as other local drag queens with music provided by DJ Gavin Patrick McIlhinney.
Get Out and Vote with Suzanne Westenhoefer
- November 1 at 6:30 p.m. at New Hope Inn & Suites, 6426 Lower York Rd., New Hope. Wrap up the month with an engaging event featuring comedian Suzanne Westenhoefer. Learn about the importance of voting and civic participation in the LGBTQ+ community and enjoy a night of humor and inspiration. This event is free to attend and registration will be available soon.
