New Hope Historical Society To Mark Anniversary With Sunset Cocktails
As part of the special evening, the society will honor long-time members and supporters, Bridget Wingert and Roy Ziegler.

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope Historical Society will celebrate its 65 th Anniversary with a Sunrise Cockatail Reception hosted by River House at Odette’s. It will be the society’s major annual fundraiser to support its preservation, conservation and educational activities.
As part of the evening’s festivities to be presented on September 21st from 5 to 8 p.m., the society will honor long-time members and supporters, Bridget Wingert and Roy Ziegler.
Bridget has been a member of the society for decades and served on its board of directors. As chair of the media relations committee she inspired the name of the historical society’s revised newsletter, "History in the Making." She was editor of the New Hope Gazette and a founding editor and owner of the award-winning Bucks County Herald, and president of the recently established Bucks County Herald Foundation.

Roy Ziegler has served on the Board of Directors for the past 21 years and as president for two terms. He has written the society’s walking tours and produced the video series, "Did You
Know?" that provides a dozen on-site discussions of historic properties and events in New Hope’s
history. He is co-producer of the video documentary, "The New Hope-Lambertville Bridge
e—Connecting Two Towns, Spanning Two Centuries, 1814-2014." Ziegler is the author of three
books on early American history, four suspense novels, and co-author of a children’s book.

Due to the generosity of River House at Odette’s the entire proceeds from the Historical Society’s Sunset Cocktail Reception Fundraiser will support the New Hope Historical Society’s mission to maintain, preserve, and interpret the diverse historical influence of New Hope.
