New Hope Looking To Fill Borough Council Vacancy

The deadline is September 8 for residents to apply for the temporary opening.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — As a result of the passing of Councilwoman Laurie McHugh, New Hope Borough Council will be accepting letters of interest and/or resumes from residents interested in a temporary appointment to the council.

The successful candidate will serve until December 31, 2023.

Letters of interest and/or resumes will be accepted no later than 4:30 p.m. on September 8. They should be email to Peter Gray, Borough Manager, at pgray@newhopeborough.org.

The New Hope Borough Council will consider the appointment of a candidate at its September 19 meeting.

McHugh, who was serving as council vice president, died unexpectedly on August 21 in an accident on Route 413 in Buckingham Township.
