Man Kidnapped, Held 2 Women Hostage After Night Out In New Hope: Police
A 39-year-old man is facing charges of kidnapping and imprisonment after a bizarre and terrifying incident that began Friday in New Hope.

NEW HOPE, PA — A 39-year-old New Hope man is facing charges of kidnapping and imprisonment after a reportedly bizarre and terrifying incident that began Friday.
New Hope Borough Police have charged Andrew Fazey with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of false imprisonment, terroristic threats and related charges, court records show.
Fazey allegedly took two female acquaintances hostage after a night out at Martine's Riverhouse, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. The report said Fazey invited the women over to his apartment after bumping into them at Martine's. They arrived at his apartment around 2:30 a.m.; both women fell asleep there.

It was when one of them awoke on Saturday morning that Fazey became belligerent and angry, even slicing up their shoes with a box cutter and demanding they get naked, the report said. He kept them hostage until the women were able to escape after about four hours.
Another man was involved in the alleged kidnapping scheme, the Courier Times report said. That man was not identified by full name, only as "Pete."

Fazey was arraigned Sunday; his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23.
