New Hope-Solebury Graduate Awarded Foundations Scholarship

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — New Hope resident Kathryn Thistlewaite, a 2022 graduate of New Hope–Solebury High School, has been awarded a $1,000 Partnership in Education Scholarship by the Foundations Community Partnership. Thistlewaite will be attending Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster.

Foundations recognizes and celebrates the achievements of Bucks County students who continue to excel during these challenging times by awarding them scholarships.

School administrators and guidance counselors from every public high school in Bucks County nominated students who best demonstrated a commitment to community service, academic performance, and quality of character.

Several of the scholarships are co-sponsored by Doylestown Health, Eastburn & Gray, P.C., First Bank, Connie Furman, Grand View Health, and Penn Community Bank.

“The commitment to community service and academic excellence of our local high school students is evident within our scholarship program,” said Abigail Halloran, Board Chair, Foundations Community Partnership. “Recognizing these outstanding student leaders serves as encouragement to all to work toward positive change in our communities.”

Foundations Community Partnership supports the behavioral health and human service needs of children, young adults, and families in Bucks County, through grants and technical assistance to non-profit organizations, awarding scholarships to high school seniors, subsidizing service-learning internships for college students, and underwriting behavioral health education programs.
