New Hope-Solebury’s Upper Elementary Earns Cognia Accreditation With Merit

Cognia recognizes schools that meet rigorous standards focused on learning environments, equitable resources, and leadership.

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope-Solebury School District has announced that the Upper Elementary School (UES) has earned Cognia Accreditation with Merit. Cognia is a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and education service providers.

“Earning Cognia Accreditation with Merit is a meaningful recognition of the dedication and hard work of our entire Upper Elementary School community,” shared Jesse Brosious, UES Principal. “At New Hope-Solebury, we believe that excellence is built through continuous reflection, collaboration, and a commitment to helping every student thrive. This accreditation affirms the outstanding work happening in our UES classrooms each day while reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and providing an exceptional educational experience for every Lion.”

Cognia recognizes schools across the globe that meet rigorous standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation, and effective leadership. To earn Cognia accreditation, a school must submit to internal and external review.

Earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means that the school meets Cognia Performance Standards and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement. Schools in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a six-year term.

According to Dr. Mark A. Elgart, president and CEO of Cognia, “Cognia accreditation is a rigorous process that focuses the entire school and its community on the primary goal of ensuring all students can flourish in engaging and equitable learning environments. We commend New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School for meeting high standards and making progress on key indicators that impact student learning.”
