New Hope Woman Charged With DUI Following One Car Accident

A witness notified police that several mailboxes had been struck and the driver was attempting to leave the area.

NEW HOPE, PA — A New Hope woman has been charged with DUI and reckless driving after a one-car accident on South Sugan Road in the area of George Kauffman Way.

The accident happened on Nov. 5 at about 4:41 p.m.

A witness notified police that several mailboxes had been struck and the driver was attempting to leave the area. When officers arrived, the vehicle had already left the scene.

Solebury Township Police located the vehicle in the township and the driver was identified as a 57-year-old woman from New Hope. She was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless driving, and accidents to unattended property.
