New Middle School Principal Appointed At New Hope-Solebury
Erik Pedersen is replacing Brian Loving who has taken a job with the Central Bucks School District.

NEW HOPE, PA — The New Hope Solebury School Board on August 30 named Erik Pedersen as the district’s new middle school principal. He replaces Brian Loving who has taken a job with the Central Bucks School District.
Pedersen joined the district in 2017 as an assistant principal and athletic director and moved into the role of assistant principal at the high school and middle school.
Before coming to NH-S, the Neshaminy High School graduate was an educator with the STEM Academy in Downingtown and an educator and an administrative intern with the Pennsbury School District.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in education from West Chester University and a Master’s in education from the California University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in education from Drexel University.
“Erik rose to the top as the exemplar for what we wanted for our middle school,” said Superintendent Dr. Charles Lentz. “He’s forward thinking. He’s looking to move the district forward. He has an excellent vision as to what the middle school should be and where we want to take it. We’re very pleased to recommend him tonight as the new principal for the middle school.

“Erik has really stepped up to the plate in the last couple of years,” Dr. Lentz continued. “He has led some major initiatives. He’s been a huge advocate for our equity work and he’s led some projects related to that. And he’s done a lot of work with some of our building projects.”
