New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival Cancelled By Stormy Forecast

NEW HOPE, PA — The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce has announced the cancellation of this year's two-day New Hope Arts Festival due to a forecast for wind and rain this weekend.

"Due to weather, the committee has decided to cancel the event for 2023. There is no other way to make this weekend work and no rain date was available," they said.

Here is a look at the latest forecast for southeast Pennsylvania from the National Weather Service:

Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 73. East wind 5 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of rain after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 57. Northeast wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Rain, mainly after 9 a.m. High near 64. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts
between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low of around 57. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly before 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain before 9 p.m., then a chance of showers after 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
