Bucks County Creamery Launches New Phillies-Inspired Ice Cream Flavor

OTTSVILLE, PA — With Major League Baseball’s postseason looming, it’s looking like another Red October for Philadelphia Phillies fans!

And just in time for all of the nail-biting action, Bucks County's own award-winning local artisan ice cream shop - Owowcow Creamery - has hit a homerun with the creation of a new mouthwatering, limited-batch Phillies-inspired ice cream flavor.

It’s aptly called "Red October," and the pints are packed with favorite Philly flavors.

The Tastykake-inspired butterscotch ice cream is filled with chunks of vanilla sponge cake, dark chocolate covered pretzel clusters, and is swirled with red “brotherly love” sprinkles.

“We are so excited to be celebrating the Phillies making it into the playoffs by clinching the top wild-card spot in the National League,” said Shira Tizer Wade, Owowcow’s managing director. “Who could resist such a tasty frozen treat?”

"Red October" is Owowcow's newest flavor celebrating the Fightin' Phillies.

The Red October flavor launches at Owowcow on Tuesday, October 3, just in time for the first playoff game at Citizen’s Bank Park. Pints retail for $11 apiece at all five Owowcow locations in Ottsville, Wrightstown, Easton, Chalfont, and Lambertville, N.J.), and it’s also available scooped in store.
