Parking Restrictions Scheduled In Lambertville As Snow Removal Continues

City officials on Tuesday announced street-specific parking restrictions and changes to trash collection as the snow cleanup continues.

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. — City residents will encounter temporary parking restrictions on several streets on Wednesday as city crews continue snow removal efforts. The City of Lambertville announced that "No Parking" signs would be posted on Tuesday afternoon for specific areas where snow clearing will occur.

The parking ban will be enforced beginning at 6 a.m. on Swan Street from South Main Street to South Union Street, Ferry Street, Wilson Street, and the entire length of Coryell Street. Additionally, North Franklin Street from Coryell Street to Route 179 and Church Street from North Franklin Street to North Union Street will have parking restrictions.

City leaders said vehicles are permitted to park overnight in these areas but must be moved by 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Residents are encouraged to use city lots or metered spaces in the Central Business District for parking. To assist residents, parking meter enforcement has been suspended through Friday evening.

City officials reported that multiple crews are currently working to clear snow in the Central Business District and other areas. The primary focus is to clear streets curb-to-curb to create more available parking. The completion timeline for these areas depends on the speed of the work.

In addition to parking changes, trash and recycling services have been suspended until Monday, March 2. Any scheduled bulk pickups will now occur next week. The city also reminds property owners about the code requiring sidewalks to be cleared within 24 hours and asked that snow not be thrown into the street. Residents can report dangerous sidewalks to City Hall by emailing Cindy at cityclerk@lambertvillenj.org.
